Urvi Shah and Neil Lyengar’s Diet Exercise and Lifestyle Decisions for Cancer Patients

What do we know about different diets and how they relate to cancer? Ever questioned what the evidence supports? Chadi is joined by Urvi Shah, MD, a myeloma expert and cancer survivor, and Neil Lyengar, MD, a medical oncologist, from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center to address this crucial question (breast cancer expert). They discuss the methodologies for examining these relationships in the breast and myeloma spaces, lifestyle and dietary interventions they are studying, how Keto and plant-based diets factor into the conversation, and much more. They also discuss whether there is a direct cause-and-effect relationship between lack of exercise and cancer diagnoses and alcohol/food consumption and cancer diagnoses.
